Framejunkie is becoming SQUINNT
As you may know framejunkie has relocated to the tranquillity of Hampshire and is now working from a purpose-built studio on the bank of the river Test. The left bank, naturally.
Having a young family and living by the clear waters of the chalk stream the old sobriquet which suited the edgy East End somehow jars a little with these idyllic surroundings so we will now be trading as
SQUINNT
Much more sensible, but not so very sensible, we hope.

Simon Quinn has been dedicated to producing the finest quality bespoke picture frames since launching Framejunkie in 2001.
He has built a strong reputation amongst many well-regarded artists, collectors and galleries for very high standards of design and manufacture.
His frames can be found in the major public art collections of the UK and the most prestigious commercial galleries.
Clients include Tate, ICA, Sotheby's, and the Saatchi Collection
Using state of the art mounting materials and methods so as to give the artworks he frames the best chance of surviving in the long-term, Simon carries a wide stock of glass products and highest grade acrylic glazing, all with options including UV filtering and Anti-reflective coatings.
Now trading as Squinnt, the vast majority of frames are made from sustainably sourced temperate hardwoods, as we believe that the tropical timbers culled from ‘the lungs of the planet’ while often very beautiful are ethically compromised.
The beauty and diversity of finish Simon can create using only North American and European hardwoods from well-managed forests means that this stricture will, in any case, not have an adverse effect on the final product. Where frames from tropical or exotic species are sought Simon can often source reclaimed timber of the required quality, though this may require long lead times.
Having relocated to Hampshire Simon is shifting to using as much locally sourced timber as possible and will eventually even be using timber from our acre of woodland by the river Test.
Simon can frame, or make a display case, for almost anything.
